COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS OFFICER 2 – Yakima West – Dual Language(WFSE Internal Transfer Only)

Description

The Community Corrections Division has a permanent, full time Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) opening available. This position, CI77, is with the Yakima West Unit 115, located at the Yakima West office in Yakima, WA. This is a Dual Language (English/Spanish) designated position on an as-needed basis that requires a proficiency certification in English/Spanish (written and oral).

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor.   If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule. Qualifications

Must provide verification of proficiency certification in English/Spanish (written and verbal) through the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), or through the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) prior to appointment.

In accordance with Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to internal transfer candidates ONLY. Employees who meet the following criteria may apply: 
 

• You are requesting a transfer under Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
• You are a permanent DOC employee.
• You currently hold permanent status in the job class being recruited for in this job posting.
• You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.

Note, per the CBA:
